What is this system?

Would it be better if there was no system at all?

What is this system

Where the good is identified as bad

And the bad, good,

Where struggles of the poor are

Ignored like the infuriating cries of toddlers,

Where the rich are given undue advantages

And money is regarded as divine?

What is this system,

Where hard work goes unnoticed

And the ones cheating, win all accolades,

Where there is no place for compassion

But a vast opportunity for corruption,

Where people are indulged in profits

And progress is kept aside like stale uneatable foods?

What is this system,

Where humans fail to identify the true meaning of life,

And only see the shallows of humanity,

Where we are living in shadows of others

Ignoring our own abilities,

Where we have lost all purpose

And mistaken the wrong for right?

And now that I have put this question forward,

Would it be better if there was no system at all?
